D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)
Sunday night was windy again - the store door was banging and the door alarm got triggered at least once - but not as wild as the night a week or so ago. Then when I accompanied Bear out after breakfast, I found a dozen more of those mysterious fruits scattered across the lawn: not as far from the back fence this time, a bit riper, and three grouped together deep in the grass against the side fence. The first find followed that very windy night. So now I wonder whether they aren't in fact being blown off over the fence? The tree is maybe 10 feet from the fence, though, and short, as apricot trees tend to be. And the first time, I found a few right next to the fence. So I am still puzzled.
