D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

A house near us had a little orange tree on its lawn; a year or two ago, the people put a big sign on it saying "Do not steal the oranges". Now they've moved out and the place has been spiffed up - and the tree removed, replaced with a pristine new lawn. Poor tree.

There are figs all over the tree around the corner, and the spiky oak tree that they have trained against the chainlink at Bear's old house to form a hedge is studded with acorns.
