The rain came today! Woke up to grey skies and as I was making breakfast, we had a decent shower. I was very glad of it, but sorry for the set of coffeetable and two end tables, black and brown marble tops and heavy, vaguely Empire wooden legs, that had been left on a grass verge for the taking. The sun was in and out and finally broke through fully in mid-afternoon; the dog took me for an epic walk around a whole block, leaving through the front door because I'd just fed Monty and Prudence in the driveway. I hadn't seen Prudence for a couple of days; Monty kept appearing solo and getting very close to me as if to ask me to help find her, so it was great that she'd reappeared, none the worse for whatever adventure she'd had.
